221105 · Skogskyrkogården: All Saints' Day

My third time visiting the Woodland Cemetery, and it filled me with a quiet, indescribable sense of peace and joy. It was almost feeling like I've found a touch of life's meaning here. I love how delicately space handles the relationship between nature, the departed, and the living, especially the landscape, where every single tree feels like it has its own unique life.

I still remember during my first visit, seeing a man sitting in a camping chair he brought himself, quietly reading while keeping company with a loved one who was no longer there. Perhaps this is the difference between East and West: viewing death as a natural part of the life cycle and coexisting with it gently and naturally.

221028 · Sculpture class

First time doing casting, and I made a candle holder. There was something strangely grounding about watching the liquid material set and finally pulling off the mold.

221008 · Stockholm Craft Week: Liquid Feast by OBS

Participating in Liquid Feast by OBS—a multidisciplinary collective of Konstfack alumni during Stockholm Craft Week was an immersive experience blending textiles, ceramics, and food.

Sharing the table with strangers, the setup totally changed how we think about dining objects: a wooden installation served as a vertical table, while fabric on the ceiling doubled as a tablecloth hanging with colorful food. Dining went beyond everyday sustenance into a medium for communication and aesthetic expression. Because food wasn't traditionally served—following the notion that "you earn what you get"—waiting for your meal naturally started conversations with unknown participants. The experience carried an imperfect yet experimental feel to it, using food as a bridge to reconnect us with everyday objects and contemporary craft imbued with handcrafted warmth and critical thinking.

220918 · First Impressions of Artipelag: Essence-Eksistence by Anselm Kiefer

My first visit to Artipelag was utterly striking, as Kiefer’s works engaged in an epic dialogue with the space. Nestled within the forests and rocks of the Stockholm archipelago, the museum's exposed concrete, massive windows, and natural surroundings perfectly matched the gritty aesthetics of his earth, lead, and ruins. Standing before Palm Sunday in the soaring space, surrounded by towering palms and piles of mud-bricks, a heavy yet breathtaking power emerged. It was a profound reminder of how spatial scale and raw materials carry history and memory, creating a quiet, desolate yet sacred tension that lingered long after.

Chi-Jung Lu

Lu is an artist and architectural designer based in Taiwan and Sweden.

Her practice spans spatial and visual design, with a focus on exhibitions, public spaces, and site-specific installations. Central to her work is abstract painting, which informs her visual language and fuels her view of colour as a symbol of freedom and fluidity.

In her paintings, she explores the dynamic balance between vibrant tones and flowing lines, turning the canvas into an open space for the viewer's imagination. By weaving these artistic elements with material and composition, she crafts emotionally resonant environments that bridge visual art and spatial design
